## The problem

Someone who does not speak English still has to sit through English conversations, at a clinic, a school meeting, a store. Translation apps that need a button press per sentence are too slow for a conversation.

## The approach

A speech to speech connection to a real time translation model, with a small server that hands the app a short lived session token so the phone never holds a raw key.

## Where it is now

Private. The app compiles and the pipeline works, but it has not yet been tested on a physical phone. Paused since June 2026.

## What happens if this works

Language stops being the reason someone cannot follow a conversation happening in front of them.
