The problem #
Vietnamese history is full of figures connected by marriage and lineage, and there is no tool that lets someone follow those connections with a source behind each step. The information exists, scattered across biographies and encyclopedias.
The approach #
Search a name, see a visual family tree, and ask for the path between two people. Every fact links back to where it came from, and the data is open so anyone can correct it.
Where it is now #
Live at wikipath.app as an early version with a seed dataset, open for corrections.
What happens if this works #
Genealogy of public figures becomes open, sourced data rather than something repeated without a citation.
